De 5 van PF Concept: new name for the Leiden Marathon nightrun

PF Concept is the new title sponsor of the 5-kilometre race at the Leiden Marathon. The Leiden-based company, an expert in promotional products, has entered into a three-year partnership with the organisation.

For over 50 years, PF Concept has been a leading promotional products expert, supporting brands and businesses in effectively deploying promotional products. The company carefully selects its range, works with a transparent supply chain and helps clients with the sustainable transition within the promotional products industry. With expertise, inspiration and digital tools, PF Concept takes work off your hands, so clients can focus on what matters: selling products that strengthen brands and make people proud. The company recently moved from Roelofarendsveen to Leiden.

De 5 van PF Concept is scheduled for Saturday 9 May 2026, starting at 22:30 at the Garenmarkt, which also serves as the finish. For the first time since 2019, this distance returns as a nightrun. With festively lit streets and participants who can wear their own lights, the Leiden city centre transforms into a magical running backdrop. The accessible 5-kilometre race has no age limit, making it open to everyone. The other running distances (the Kidsrun, 10, 21 and 42 kilometres) are scheduled for Sunday 10 May. The walking distances take place on Saturday 9 May during the day.

Partnership

“As a brand-new Leiden-based organisation, we feel strongly connected to the city and to events that get people moving,” says Anne Karine Lemstra, Vice President of Product Management and Sustainability at PF Concept. “The nightrun is accessible, energetic and connecting. These are values that align well with who we are. We are proud that our name is associated with this special event.”

Race director Tjeerd Scheffer of the Leiden Marathon is also enthusiastic about the partnership. “With PF Concept, we have found a committed, locally active partner that is a perfect fit for the atmosphere and look of the nightrun. Together, we are giving the 5-kilometre race a new, recognisable identity within the marathon weekend.”

Registration

Registration for one of the (walking) distances of the 35th edition of the Leiden Marathon is available here. Due to high demand, the organisation advises runners not to wait too long to register, as there is a chance that multiple distances will close early.
