Open day Leiden Marathon – 7 March 2026

More than 20,000 participants will be at the start on 9 and 10 May 2026. More than 1,000 volunteers help to make this weekend a fantastic event. Because without volunteers, there is no Leiden Marathon! We would like to show you how much fun it is to be a volunteer with us and are therefore organising an Open Day at the Marathon Office, J.C. de Rijpstraat in Leiden on

Saturday 7 March 2026 from 14:00 to 17:00

You can simply drop by, registration is not required, and feel free to bring someone along.

The Leiden Marathon is much more than a sporting event. It is a big family that creates something enormous together. It doesn’t matter what you do or for how long: handing out water or race numbers, helping with the setup of the start or finish, directing traffic, etc. Everyone is equally important.

So come and soak up the atmosphere on 7 March with coffee, treats, videos and stories from the volunteers themselves.
